Transport fail and Journal Detail Table missing dimension (to be regenerated)

Hi all,

we made a BPC 10.1 NW transport from dev, to quality and to production system and the change included adding a dimension on two models. One of the model had already a template journal which we modified and transported along the way.

The transport in quality went fine but the tranport in production went bad: it generated a dump because of out of memory issue while (i think) backing up and updating the generated table for journal detail (I'm talking about the generated table that can be seen using program UJ0_GET_GEN_TABNAME). We transported again and went fine but the mentioned table was not updated and the new dimension is missing! (the cube were updated as well as other tables like generated audit table)

In the admin I can see the new dimension both in the template and in the creation of a new journal but when I try to post a journal the new dimension refers to the adjacent dimension in the template and of course in the journal detail table the new dimension cannon be seen.

How can I regenerated the journal detail table adding the new dimension?

System: BPC 10.1 NW

SAP_BW740 0014

CPMBPC810 0009

HANABPC810 0009

Thanks,

Michele

Delete template, transport delete. Create again, transport...

Hello Vadim,

doing as you say I'm not going to loose all the journal detailed stored in the generated table?

Thanks,

Michele

If you add dimension to the model the details of the old journals will be lost anyway!

In the quality system it updated the journal detailed table with the new dimension as expected (even used the single member transported for the new dimension, I was worried that it could put blank value instead).

Unfortunately this is not documented and you have to experiment yourself...
