Transaction data missing

Dear All

we have daily package called Delta load which loads Transaction data from BW to BPC models.

We are facing an issue like particular one month actual data missed to load in  to BPC, however when we try to re run the package the data never getting loaded into BPc. When we try the same in Quality environment it worked well.

We had faced similar issue 4 months back like october actual missed , not able to find root cause, we have posted manually data into bpc.

Upon blogging we find a note ->

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1927898

This oss note says Delta load pacakge will ignore requests made before cube rollup on cubes where BWA is maintained.

We are trying to apply this note and check once

If we implement this and try running the package , will it load missing data? or Do we need to explicitly do full repair

Please advise

thanks

Can you please tell what info you have in logs of those loads that didn't load any data: how many records extracted, how many submitted etc?

Also, do you have any selection conditions in initialization of that load?

Cheers.

hi

I found this whitepaper which says the requests in delta load will be ignore if cube compression happens.

Hence as a work around, i have loaded full load.

Looking for permanent fix

This white paper doesn't say delta load will be ignored; it says that you have to load requests in delta load before you compress them. So, idea is to load delta then compress then repeat the process.

Now how to organize this depend on how often you load data in BW cube and how often you load deltas from it to BPC. Based on this you can set up you compression process.

But since you already know the answer I'm probably preaching to the quire.

Hi Vijay,

Which BPC version and SP level?

If you reply the note then you just need to rerun the package.

Dear Andy

we are using BPC 10.0 NW with SP16

CPMB 800 016

please suggest, we have advised client after applying this note, it may fix.

we are not sure about root cause hence unable to rely on this note at the moment. But after blogging I found this note related to delta load

So, the missed data will load right? no need of full repair or full load kind of thing?

please suggest

This note is already applied with SP12, and you are in SP16, so no need of this note.

you need to check if the anything is skipped in your conversion file.

yeah ours is SP16, but what we are assuming is before upgrade the issue might be occuring and not identified by users. however when we ask abapers to implement this note now, they said its not implmental as its higher version..

And regarding conversion file, i have checked the same in quality, and its loading wihtout any issues

please advise
