Hi,
I am on BPC 10.1 standard without HANA on Netweaver platform. I have to aggregate sales from a certain back/previous date for 400+ products. The back date and the number of months to be used for sales aggregation will be defined by the user. I need to save both of these for traceability.
I was planning an input form to save the values for back_date as well as number of months for aggregation and then run a script logic to aggregate the numbers.
Back date entered by the users is in the form of the base members of the time dimension i.e., 2016.01, 2016.02 etc. NUmber of months to aggregate is in the form of integers i.e., 1,2,3,4...
The issue which I am facing is that TMVL does not seem to work with value stored in the cube, for example: TMVL(-1, [ACCOUNT].[BACK_DATE]) does not work. Can you please help me out with any suggestions? Due to the number of products,I cannot pass the back date from a DMP.
Regards,
Nicky

Sorry, but why do you think that this strange syntax like "TMVL(-1, [ACCOUNT].[BACK_DATE])" will work???
Have you read help on TMVL: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc10_nw/helpdata/en/c8/d961d0dbfd4745af4b667279573702/content.htm?frame...
In general, please clearly describe your requirements - calculation logic using some data sample!
