Testing strategy for NEW GL - Scenario 6 -Subsequent document splitting migration in ECC system.

The scenario is :

- Our Client is currently on ECC-6 EHP 7 New GL environment without document splitting(DS).

- Our client would like to implement document splitting using the SAP New GL migration service by performing Scenario 6 - Subsequent implementation of document splitting for company code in the ECC system.

-The Fiscal year period for the company code is 1 Oct to 30 September. (Current Fiscal year 2020)

The current dates planned for migration are as follows :

- The migration date in the cockpit for the project is 1 oct 2021(As the migration date needs to be the start of the new fiscal year.)

- Activation date(Data Migration date) will be around 5 Dec 2021.

Now we wanted to perform the Test Data migration in the Test environment.

Could you please help us understand what should be the 'migration date' and the Activation date(Data migration Date) in the test System? -

-Should it be 1 Oct 2021 even for test migration.(As this needs to be start of the fiscal year.)

-(Should the basis team change the 'system date' of the test SAP system to 01 Oct 2021 now ( and later we close the previous year 2020) And later perform the data Migration in the Test system.

Could you please help us know how we can test the migration in the Test environment and share your insights on the same.
