Hi Friends,

Does the techinical name of BPC objects on 10.1 (standard) / BW 7.5 stard with CPMB?

If I use UJBR and take back up from 10.0 (standard) and restore it in 10.1 (standard), will the techinical name be starting with CPMB?

Thanks,

Hello,

The answer to your question is yes, BPC 10.1 still is installed in its own namespace but you will not see it, RSA1, or use it until you execute UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT.

BPC 10.1 is an enhanced version of BPC 10 except for the web client UI. Although many small enhancements and fixes are released in BPC 10.1, the main BIG difference is BPC web client UI going from a Flex based UI to HTML5.

Hi Leila, thanks for your reply.

But what is the namespace in BPC 10.1 NW. It is CPMBPC or HANABPC?

So if I take a backup of enviromnentshell form 10.0 (using UJBR) and restore it in 10.1. Will the techinical name be same as CPMB (which is in 10.0) or will it change to CPMBPC or HANABPC?

Thanks,

Hello,

You will not see HANABPC or CPMBPC because they are installed embedded in BW. But BPC is still installed in namespace /CPMB/BPC. As I said before, after installation you need to execute UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT before you can do anything else with BPC.

UJBR will work the same way as in BPC 10. You should see an option to keep the same technical names. If you choose that option for restoring, the newly restored BPC environment in BPC10.1 will have the same technical names as in BPC 10.

Please make sure to execute UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT for EnvironmentShell before you do anything else.
