Tax depreciation key not calculating ½ month depreciation

Requirement:

We need a US Bonus Tax depreciation key which calculates ½ month depreciation for the first month and calculates depreciation based on life (straight line method) on 40% of the value.

Issue:

40% of the value is correctly calculating, however ½ of depreciation for the first month is not calculating.

Config so far:

New Depn key ZL40 created and Period control 012 assigned with multi-level ZL4 assigned.

For Period control method 012, SAP standard key 002 has been assigned to calculate for ½ month, however this is not happening.
