Subtotal and Total in EPM Add in 10.0

Hi,

I'm trying to create a report that presents subtotals and a total.

I know Member Sorting & Grouping function for calculating subtotals - Please refer to the screenshot attached to this discussion.

Does anyone knows how to calculate total?

Also is there an EPM function to calculate subtotal or total? The reason I'm asking about EPM function is I was told that using excel function slows down performance compared to using EPM function when data volume is huge.

Dear Rachal,

Please create a local member after the row axis and use the formula  =sum(epmallmembers).

Hi Rachal,

You can use local member / Member Sorting & Grouping depends on requirement.

For total, you can use Parent level member. As far as I know more EPM Function affects the performance not excel.
