Subsequent Activation of non-leading ledger in S4 HANA

Hi All,

We have a requirement to activate a new non leading ledger for productive company codes in the live system. The client is on SAP S4 HANA 2021. Is this requirement necessarily require a SAP migration services and can only be done by taking help from SAP or it can also be achieved without involvement of SAP.

Also, if there are migration steps in the process of activating the non-leading ledger.

Hello, did you figure this out? I think you will need SAP Migration service for Scenario 7, at least it was needed for ECC... not sure if it the same for S4H.

Usually some SAP service is required. Look for :

• OSS Recommendations - 1227504 - Subsequent implementation of an additional ledger
  NOTE: SAP General Ledger Migration service don't offer any service for S4H system. To get the current update on the available scenarios for S4H system, please raise message in component FIN-MIG-GL.
• Support - Special Requirements for Subsequent Implementation of Further Functionality -  Scenario 7 -  subsequent implementation of a further ledger.
