Dear Experts,
Our customer will use SAP Subscription Billing integrated with S4HANA public cloud.
In their process, they will create a solution order containing items for hardware, services and subscriptions.
It doesn't seem possible to specify the validity start date of the subscription on header level in the solution order, nor on subscription item level. On the other hand, when the subscription is created via the app "Manage Subscriptions" (both in S4 and in Subscription billing), the field is available in the Header info.
If you don't specify the start date, the subscription will start on the day you release the solution order item, but you might want to create backdated subscriptions or subscriptions planned in the future.
Is it possible to set the start date of the subscription in the solution order to avoid manual follow-up modification of the subscription in "Manage Subscriptions" after releasing the solution order (item)?
Thank you.

Hi Elena,
you need to enable the "Dates" section in the solution order item (the item for the subscription). You can do this with the "Personalize" button (the little gearwheel) on the top right corner of the item detail screen. Once activated, you can enter the contract start date date.
Kind regards,
Annette
