Key aspect is how to handle subscription contracts (especially for public transport) within SAP: Creation, Changes, Termination and periodical billing. The idea is simillar to rental contracts: The different is that within public transport the customer does not rent a flat or a car but the right to use a public train or bus. This contract is valid until one of the contract parties terminates it. The agreed subscription price is content of a billing plan that will be collected monthly by direct debit.
BRIM seems to be a SAP-solution that handles specially the needs of the growing market of property and rental business and so it looks like that it covers the charcteristics of the trend „rent instead of buying“. Without me knowing the technical and functional backgrounds.
Therefore my questions: what exactly is BRIM? How is it integrated in a SAP-system? Is it possible to integrate it into a standard SAP? Is it suitable for covering the business for subscription conracts of public transport? Could it also be used for further requirements like the settlement of vending machines?
