HI Team,
A Rate Plan Template is created, when creating rate plan, I have to select the rate plan template and create one. Whenever I create a product, I am given an option to create rate plan instead of selecting the already created one in "Manage Rate Plan" app.
Could you please confirm if there's a button to select already available rate plans from "Manage Rate Plan" app?
Thanks

Hi Prasannakrishna,
The rate plan template outlines the basic structure of a rate plan, including relevant charges, billing options, and the billing cycle. To provide more flexibility and encourage reuse, you can define a rate plan template with parameters. For instance, you can use parameters for currency and billing cycle, allowing you to specify concrete values for these settings within the rate plan itself.
This approach enables you to create rate plans for different markets, each with its own currency or multiple billing cycles (like monthly and yearly plans), all based on the same rate plan template. Of course, if some markets have a unique set of charges, you might need to create multiple rate plan templates. Within the product app, you create a new rate plan when you're ready to add one for your product.
If you have multiple markets and want to maintain consistent settings, I'd recommend creating a rate plan for the first market and then using the 'Copy' button to replicate it for other markets. The copy function automatically sets the correct currency for the target markets.
In most cases, there's no need to create rate plans directly in the Rate Plan app, unless you're looking to use a specific rate plan for creating a subscriptions via API.
Cheers,
Carsten
