Standalone EPM Add-in vs Analysis Office EPM add-in.

Hello,

we have BPC Standard (on BW750 SP18). According to note 2103585 we can use

EPM addin from AO2.8 SP02 or

Standalone EPM Add-in SP37

Can you tell me if those are the same tools (just in AO we have also Analysis addin packed also)?

If yes do you know if SPs are synced (eg EPM addin from AO2.8 SP03 = Standalone EPM Add-in SP38 etc...)?

We do not use Embedded models!

AO contains 'BPC plug-in' which provide you a brand new BPF navigation panel(on the left), it's not possible with standalone EPM add-in.

Can you provide more details? What is the advantage of: "brand new BPF navigation panel"?

vadim.kalinin , business user can navigate between different BPF activites directly in Excel without jumping back and forse between web client and excel. User can also directly logon to BPF in Excel. For more, please read help page:

If you are not using Embedded models, not BEx queries then you can use only standalone EPM client.

Versions:

EPM SP36 = AO 2.8

EPM SP37 = AO 2.8 SP02

EPM SP38 = AO 2.8 SP04
