Split Payment lot item into additional items

We have a requirement where when user enters a line item on FP25 , based on certain conditions ( flag set and /or custom field is populated) that item needs to e split into 2 line items.

Either it can be done this way OR

Once we post the line item, 2 separate payment document needs to be created.

we are currently exploring event 10 ( along with 30) and also checking how event 32 ( create additional sub line item) can work.

From your posts, I could get only the possible solution options, but can you elaborate on what is your business case against which you want to split the payment lot items.

Thanks Amlan for checking.

Here is the business scenario - when user posts a payment, let's say $100.00, that payment needs to split into two funds , Fund A $60.00 and Fund B $40.00 ( behind the scenes calculation based on percentage and certain other conditions) .

So after he/she enters the payment it needs to split into two line items ( OR two payment documents, the later of which us preferred) - one for each fund.

Let me know your thoughts on these.
