Hi Lara, you can use any string you like. There are some constraints, for example, a space is not allowed. But otherwise you can choose anything you want. It really depends on how you want to group/split the subscriptions.
If you want a separate bill for each and every subscription, you need to generate a unique string for every subscription. If you want to split by product, you can use the product code.
And so forth...

Hello Anette,
Thank you for your detailed reply,
But what if we need to generate a bill for every subscription usage?
Like if we had a usage of 10 then we had usage of 30 but we don't want to get all this billed in the same bill, we want separate bills for the 2 usage of the same subscription.
Kind Regards
Lara

Hello Annette,
Thank you for your detailed and quick reply, but can you please give an example of the Bill split element that I should use?
Example:
Recurring subscritption with a charges recurring fee
I already walked through the documentation but I dont know what I should do exactly.
Thank you in advance!
Lara,
