Settlement frequency for Sales Based Rent

Hi Experts,

Please find below scenario:

Contract Start Data : 15.09.2011 and End Date : 14.09.2013.

Its a Sales Based Rent Contract. The reporting Rule is Monthly and Settlement Frequency is Yearly. The Frequency Start : Start of Calander Year so my cash flow is as below. how to segregate the Sales Reports for the two years i.e. frpm 15.09.2011 to 14.09.2012 amd 15.09.2012 to 14.09.2013. The situation is Customer will be giving 15 days Sales report for starting month i.e. 15.09.2011 to 30.09.2011 and the same for end of the contract and in between i.e. period for 01.09.2012 to 30.09.2012, the customer will be giving total mont report. Now how the settlement needs to be done, The settlement frequency is Yearly. How to Maintain the Sales Rule frequency i.e as per below

For your issue, create

> Three Reporting Rules with these values :

Reporting Rule      Frequency      Freq.Unit    Frequency start          Exclusion Start           Exclusion End

RR1                         16                     Days        15.09.2011               01.10.2011                  31.08.2011

RR2                          1                     Months      01.10.2011               01.09.2013                  30.09.2013

RR3                         15                     Days        01.09.2013

> One Sales Rule

Settlement Freq = 2 Years        Freq Start=15.09.2011    Calculation method = Exact Days

>Condition validity from 15.09.2011  to  14.09.2013

This will help you solve your issue and your Sales Report will be like :

exclusion startd date needs to be  start of the frequency start right? i am not able to understand the solution which u have provided. It would be really great if you please provide the solution step by step. The settlement frequency is Yearly.

Hi Jai,

Create 3 Reporting rules as per the values which I have maintained in the solution provided.

Exclusion date is the date from which reporting will not be considered.

So since your requirement is to report the sales from mid of the month that's why three reporting rules are created with these exclusion dates

.
RR1 will consider reporting of the sales from 15.09.2011 to 30.09.2011.

RR2 will consider reporting from 01.10.2011 to 31.08.2013

RR3 will consider reporting from 01.09.2013 to 15.09.2013

You can maintain the settlement frequency as 2 years if only 2 years are to be considered for settlement. Else maintain the number of years for which settlement is required, in the settlement frequency tab.

Hi siddharth,

Really Thanks and support for your immediate response.

But when i am maintaining Settlement Frequency as 1 Year system is giving error sales reporting intrevel is outside the settlement period. Do i need to do some other settings in the sales rule for the same?

Hey Jai,

Yeah its obvious to face an error if you maintain the above mentioned values in reporting rule and settlement frequency as 1 year.

You can rectify the error by updating value of frequency as 2 in Sales rule.

So the values in reporting rule will be same and in Sales rule you need to maintain frequency as 2 years.

Hi Siddharth,

Sorry for the delay, the issue is still not solved how ever i will be closing the same. i need to do the settlement yearly. I am trying by adding new coniditons, RR and SRule.

Replicated same thing in sap refx in contract exact scenario with multiple reporting rules and one sales rule and i entered sales figures in standard TCODE RESRIS but i cant do settlement and generate cash floe in condition how can i do that ??? or any setting need to do please let me know kindly this is needful for me.........
