In the scope dimension, there are property /field called 'Parent Group', 'Elimination Rule'.
What are the real use of these fields. Appreciate inputs.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
"PARENT GROUP" property is used to create a group structure. If you have multiple group structure within the group structure, you can use this property. This property is even used if you want to have consolidation at sub group level also. This property is refered in ownership Model
I don't see any Elimination Rule property in scope dimension
Please refer the BPC handbook: BPC440 en Col96 Consolidation
Page no. 91

Rahul

Under the scope group hierarchy , if we are rolling up childrens scope as above, will it not amount to rolling up result in report.
For example, when I run the report at SCOPE= Group1, will not add the group 2, group 3 results and sum it up?
Like how the entities data is totaled in entity hierarchy?
