Scheduling of EPM distribution is not a simple thing!

It depends on Windows and EPM version!

Please read the note:

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002634674

also

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002642083

and some other!

In general user need to have administrative rights on the PC and has to be logged on during scheduled time!

thank for the info Vadim.

to test this I have asked for Admin rights from the respective team and once i get those i would be able to test.

My concern is how can I schedule it independent of any user.

"My concern is how can I schedule it independent of any user." - This is not possible!!!

EPM distribution is using Windows task scheduler on the PC with EPM installed.

To setup a task in Windows task scheduler you need a Windows user with admin rights. And starting from some Windows patch this user has to be logged on during task execution. It's a Microsoft requirement!

Use a dedicated PC for distribution, use RDP protocol to connect to this PC and use special Windows user with admin rights.

"I read on various discussions that this has to be done on server machine" - incorrect statement!

Please read EPM help on distribution/publishing:
