Is there a script or macro available to enable this to happen automatically each morning? I've not been able to find anything in Version 10.1. thanks

Hi Shawn,

Which type of optimisation? Light or Full? For both in EPM Add-In Excel you will find data manger package which you can schedule to run at specific time...

Hi:

I want to do a full optimization. I'm in 10.1 and don't see any options to schedule optimizations from data manager. I looked in our old 7.5.106 environment and didn't see them either.

If you have the name of the script file I will dig around and see if I can find it, or if you have a screen shot that shows me it on your 10.x environment that would be a big help. thanks

check in run package -> admin_optimize, if you don't find it in your model search in APShell or EnvironmentShell and copy it in your environment.

inside the package there is the option for lite or full optimize

if you don't see the package, check your rights you should be a bpc admin to see admin packages

Hi:

I found the package and included it so it is accessible in the list. However, I cannot determine how to schedule it to run. I can see how I could modify or delete a package scheduled job under "view status", "view schedule status", but I don't see how I can add one.

I'm getting close. do you know where I cold actually set up the job?

thank you

Hi Shawn,

run package -> follow the settings at the end like every package it ask if you want to run immediately or schedule it, choose schedule and set the options you want

yes you can, you will see your scheduled packages after scheduled on "packages schedule status" where you also able to modify it or to stop it.

If solved, please don't forget to close the thread.

Hi Shawn,

you can schedule the admin_optimize package. I'm working on 7.5 so maybe the name of the package change search it with a similar name, run the package and it will ask if you want to run immediately or schedule, then set the schedule options.
