Hi SAP Experts!
We are currently working on the integration of S/4HANA (on premise) Rel. 1809 and SAP Subscription Billing (Cloud) and would like to use SAP Convergent Invoicing (SAP CI) and SAP FI-CA (Utilities). We would like to create Billable Items (BITs) and process them with SAP CI. There is an official SAP integration guide that we follow - link to source:
Chapter 5 describes the integration according to S/4HANA. However, chapter 5.1.3 of the guide only deals with integration with S/4HANA Sales Billing (on page 38 below). Chapter 4.2 deals with integration with S/4HANA Cloud and also explicitly describes integration with SAP CI. My questions about this: Is there a difference in SAP CI integration between SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud? Can SAP CI also be integrated with S/4HANA and which path or guideline do we have to take? We're not exactly sure right now... 😞
Many thanks in advance and greetings from Heidelberg
Alexander

Hi,
SAP provides a collection of integration content related to SAP Subscription Billing which you can access here:
Integration Content provided by SAP is based on CPI via pre-defined iFlows. These iFlows are designed to transfer data between SAP components and to speed up implementation time and reduce integration work. If required you can easily adapt and extend the iFlows to meet specific requirements. The list of available integration content includes integration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud - Convergent Invoicing (details here: https://api.sap.com/package/IntegrationwithSAPHybrisRevenueCloudConvergentInvoicing?section=Overview....
There is no integration content available for SAP Convergent Invoicing (On-Premise). Whether integration content for SAP S/4HANA Cloud - Convergent Invoicing can be adapted in order to make it work with SAP Convergent Invoicing (On-Premise) has to be evaluated on a project basis. If you need further support please contact our Customer Success unit which can assist you in your project.
Best regards,
Boris
