Dear All,
I am trying to implement group reporting in SAP S/4HANAN Public Cloud, using 1SG test script.
There is a section: Create version with template SAP NOTE: If you create a new version, you cannot undo it. You can also no longer delete the version. You cannot change the entered values later.
What does this mean? Does that mean I can only use one version? How does that affect the financial consolidation?
Thank you and best regards,

Hello dear user,
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Group Reporting, when you create a new version using the "Create Version with Template" functionality, the system locks the version once it is created. This means:
This does not mean that you can only use one version. You can create multiple versions for different scenarios (e.g., Actuals, Forecasts, Budgets). However, each version is fixed once created, ensuring data consistency for financial consolidation.
For financial consolidation, this means that once a version is generated and used in reports, it remains as a reference point. If adjustments are needed, you would have to create a new version instead of modifying the existing one. This approach ensures auditability and compliance with financial reporting standards.
I hope this will help you answer your questions.
Best regards,
Jeremy
