SAP Patch/ Note support for FQ Events(Example:1729) which was having some standard code

hi All,

i Implemented FQ Event 1729(Information for collection agencies per business partner interval) for Sharing Information for Collection agency using FPCI transaction code. Standard function module "FKK_SAMPLE_1729" contains some standard Code and i copied entire FM and created a ZFKK_SAMPLE_1729 added my custom Business Logic where ever it is required and assigned it to FQ Event.

now i am thinking in future if SAP wanted to do some Patch or Note updates then this Custom FM will not get's updated. so how can we make sure that we should not miss any SAP Not's or Patch Updates for Implemented FQ Event's which is having standard code?
