Hi,
I am currently working with SAP PAPM 3.0 SP 03 on S4HANA, has anyone been able to create "format files" in the environment(Error 500)? I could do it but in version 3.0 SP 04. Once the "format file" has been created, has anyone been able to upload files through the "file adapter" function?Request clarification before answering.
Hello,
do you want to give me more information on what exactly you need to do so probably i can guide you better?

But if I have another unsolved point, it is when I use the "Write Function" to write to an ADSO, none of the options is enough for what I am looking for.
I have a process and I execute it by selecting Company / Period. In the ADSO I want to persist and keep the data of each execution (society / period) and if there is a change replace it without losing the historical data.
1.- Delete / Insert: First delete all data found in the ADSO and insert the new one. I lose the historical data.
2.- Modify: It works partially. When there is a change and that change is not only of the ratio, also a characteristic changes (Example: Business changes from N1 to N2) it keeps the record with N1 and adds the new one with N2.
Do you know any solution for this point?
Thank you
Hi Alejandro,
yes, I was able to successfully create a file format for CSVs and to use the File Adapter function to upload a CSV file.
Please be aware of this SAP note: 2910484 - File Adapter Special Scenarios for Application and DB Servers (link).
Edit: I have just found this great blog from Justine Angeles that provides detailed explanations on how to configure SAP PaPM, please have a look at it https://blogs.sap.com/2020/04/30/fileadapter-whitelist-path-configuration-for-each-database-system-s...
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Emanuele
