SAP PaPM Cloud calculation workbook

Greetings and thank you in advance. I have a question and would greatly appreciate your insights regarding SAP PaPM Cloud, specifically regarding the "Calculation Workbook" function. This function is currently reading data from an environment Model Table (MT) containing dummy information.

Within the Calculation Workbook, I've entered the fields in the Selection area and one field in the Action area. When I activate the function, the Input and Output tabs appear. However, there is no data visible on these tabs. I attempted to find a solution by navigating to the "DATA" menu and looking for the "Synchronize" option, but it doesn't seem to be visible.

Could you please advise on what steps I should take to be able to view the values from the Model Table on the INPUT tab?

Your insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello EMANUELE FUMEO,

Thank you for taking the time to provide the blog series links. I had already reviewed them, and unfortunately, they didn't address the question I have regarding the Calculation Workbook function. However, I appreciate your efforts in trying to assist me in finding a solution.

Best regards,

Jose

Hi Jose,

I suggest you to have a look at the blog series covering Workbook Calculation function. You can start from here: https://blogs.sap.com/2021/12/17/workbook-calculation-adapter-overview/
In particular, please consider the following statements: "During modeling, the tabs do not show the data records from your input and Look Up tables. Therefore, we recommend adding dummy data in the Excel tabs to test the Excel formula logic. These data are only used for modeling purposes and are not considered in the calculation during system runtime."

Here is the latest blog post of the series: https://blogs.sap.com/2022/05/06/workbook-calculation-using-an-hr-expenses-budgeting-worksheet-as-in...

Hope it helps!
Kind Regards,
Emanuele
