SAP GTS on HANA database

Hi GTS Gurus,

There are multiple threads available for this question, however I didn't get any suitable answer. Hence I am starting new thread here.

Out customer wants to move GTS 11.0 to HANA database. Is there any documentation available that can provide all impact of this upgrade?

Kindly share any link or information as it will help to understand the impact of HANA database on SAP GTS.

Teena, with HANA database, you can use the HANA search strategy for SPL screening. The performance is better and supposedly, the matches are also better. We have implemented HANA search strategy. Let me know if you have any specific questions on that.

Dear Teena,

I'll let you have a look at some documentation, here are some feedback about what we suffered /needed to double check specifically on our GTS server:

• 1-Connection tests with Seeburger / Customs authority legacy system check

• 2-Upload / Display attachment document to GTS objects

• 3-Sent/Receive LTVD by email

• 4-auth/check/call transaction parameter check (program Program RSPARAM)

• 5-AL11 check

• 6-SM59 RFC Connection tests

• 7-Process SM58 from PR1

• 8-Test FTP files import through PI

No specific database issue except the usual HANA issues...

But there are more information need to provide such as,source DB type,size of database ,Is there GTS upgrade also planned along with DB migration etc...

Hi Teena,

I would recommend to check at PAM where you can get the full technical information for this.

In PAM you can search for "SAP GTS 11.0",it will give you dependeny on other add-on and upgrade path etc..

Thanks for your suggestion, PAM consist of upgrade to S/4HANA and its versions till 1909. Is this the information of HANA DB?

I am looking for any documentation that can share details of configuration and activities required to be performed when there is database migration. Our customer also wants to perform SPL using HANA search from TREX.
