In SAP Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC), is it possible to transport Ad Hoc Items across systems (e.g., from Dev to QA)?
If transports aren't supported for these items, what would be the recommended best practice to transfer them between environments without having to recreate them manually?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The status quo is that ad hoc items cannot be transported.
If you transport forms that make use of ad hoc items, create ad hoc items with the same names on the target system using the Define Ad Hoc Items app. The newly created ad hoc items are automatically used in the respective forms based on their identical name.
To avoid losing the connection between ad hoc items and form definitions, complete the ad hoc item creation on the target system before you import form definitions to the same target system.
