Dear experts,
We're running our SAP GRC system on NW 7.52 version and would like to upgrade it to S/4HANA with S4/HANA AC,RM,PC add-on components. When I checked this option in maintenance planner I can see that would be possible, but this way our old AC,RM, PC components would still stay on the system? How would migration from old components be done?
Thank you,
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
this is correct understanding. Those plugins will stay and later can be un-installed. New GRC foundation version (S4) can work with both: old(current) plugin (backward capabilities) and new plugins, once installed. This way this works. It does not work however the other way around. First upgrade the GRC foundation and it will work with old plugins, next step is to upgrade the plugins (install new one) and then uninstall the old ones.
This is our story - we have just went through on our last implementation.
Thanks,
Filip

Thanks for you answer Filip.
So you saying that I should first just converse GRC from NW to S4 and keep PC/AC/RM. And then upgrade those to S4 Addons later?
I was thinking to upgrade them all in one shot, but not sure if PC/AC/RM for S4 can work with satellite non S4 systems.
Best regards,
Stefan
