SAP GM / FM - Funded program

Dear experts,

As a public institution we are now using ECC with PSM-FM with funds mangement. We're planning to activate SAP GM for the Grantor part. It seems that we would need to activate as well a new object, the Funded program.

My questions are, if we activate this, what are the impacts on our actual FM processes? do we have to update all of our processes with Funded programs? (through theses FMDERIV / GTRDERIV)

Or can we have both worlds activated, the old one without funded programs, but GM activities plugged to this new dedicated objects, funded programs (probably linked to new WBS elements as well)?

Any impact on s/4 (as we're also planning an upgrade)?

Hi,

You would need to allow 'blank' as value in the Account assignment customisation for this object. In this way, you would be able to continue control your FM postings without a Funded Program should you chose not to use it also in FM. 'Funded program' is a common object for two worlds.

No changes currently exist in S/4 for management of this aspect.
