SAP Entitlement Management system updated features queries

Hi Experts,

I have few queries with respect to new release of SAP Entitlement Management System 2211.

1) What the role/use of "Entitlement Function" in Configuration?

2) In what cases/scenarios can " Entitlement Processes" be used & parameters involved in it.

Could you please help us understand the related topics.

Hi Vinay,

1. "Entitlement Function" is used when user assigns a contact person to an entitlement. "Entitlement Function" represents the role of this contact person to the assigned entitlement.

2. The typic use case for Entitlement Process is software version upgrade. When the new version of software is released, all corresponding license entitlements need to be updated. User can configure an Entitlement Process, in which the parameter could be the latest version of software. Then set condition to find out entitlements need to be updated. Later, once the software is upgrade, fire a request with latest version to SAP Entitlement Management system to mass update all relevant license entitlements.
