Hello,
I am looking for solutions, as I am kind of stuck. I am handling some SAP ECC Optimizations and the company that I work for, requires quiet a lot of approvals for everything. Do you think that it is possible to set up somehow the transformation of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders, even if they require approval? I have been reading, but cannot find a way to do it. If it is possible, once we have the Purchase Requisition approved, to send a notification to user X, based on Y criteria?
Would love to hear the opinion of an expert.
All the best,
Nikola Nikolov

Hello @NikolaNikolov
There are actually two questions in your post.
Do you think that it is possible to set up somehow the transformation of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders, even if they require approval? I have been reading, but cannot find a way to do it.
Here the answer is no. It's not possible to create purchase orders against purchase requisitions that are not approved yet. If it were possible, it would defeat the whole purpose of purchase requisition approvals - purchasing process is not started unless a purchase requisition is not approved.
If it is possible, once we have the Purchase Requisition approved, to send a notification to user X, based on Y criteria?
That can be implemented with purchase requisition approval workflow.
