SAP DM XBRL - Error

Hi,

I'm trying to create an XBRL file. I have followed all the steps of the SAP help of SAP Disclosure Management (https://help.sap.com/doc/PRODUCTION/8453663b6d5b10149fa8066cb0e91070/10.1_SP08/en-US/dm101_user_en.p...), but when I try to create the XBRL the following error message appears and does not generate the file.

Can you help me?

Thanks a lot.

Hello Luca

I have been able to create an XBRL instance with this taxonomy

1. Entry point loaded

2. Map some data

3. Generate the instance - no errors

4. Check the instance

--> fact included in XML file

It will be quite difficult to compare your complete setup through this SCN forum

I suggest you contact me directly, so we can discuss further options

My details: marc.kuipers@sap.com

Thanks

Hi Luca

OK, I will check the taxonomy

In general, if you want to use XBRL with a mapper, you can follow the process for US SEC

See: wiki US SEC

If you want iXBRL, you can follow the process for ESMA

See: wiki for ESMA

Hi Luca

If the "Italian Civil Code Filings" uses the mapping method, then the setup will be completely different. You would need to tag the data with the XBRL Mapper

First step - can you send me the link where you downloaded the taxonomy from?

Grazie

Good morning Mark,

this is the link: https://it.xbrl.org/materiali/tassonomie/tassonomia-principi-contabili-italiani-2018/, the taxonomy can be downloaded clicking on the link highlighted in the figure below:

We have downloaded it and set it up accordingly to SAP DM rules (the first folder is http, and we included the xbrl folder we unzipped from SAP Base taxonomy downloaded from https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002827882). We imported it in the dedicated report, imported the entry point successfully, and set up the XBRL report with contexts/taxonomy/units.

The mapper is already installed, we mapped a report sucessfully. But we are not able to generate it in the format for the submission.

We tried also proceeding similarly to iXBRL (set up an XBRL instance, created a data cache, mapped it, included it in a word document, generated the tagged word document, and then tried to generate the instance - but it didn't work).

In the user guide it is unclear what we should use as a report type and what we should generate to obtain the xml file and its previews.

Thank you again

Hello Luca,

I assume you are using one of the supported scenarios?

See: 2138659 - DM XBRL Scenario Support

Did you follow the steps of this WIKI ?

If you run without validation, does the instance get created ?

Also check the logs, see: 2923005 - Disclosure Management Logs

We are trying to generate a XBRL report for the submission to the Italian regulator.

We are using the taxonomy we downloaded from the Italian XBRL site (upon making it fit to be loaded in SAP DM). The entry points can be imported successfully and are available for the mapping, but when we generate the report we get the error shown in picture 1, which indicates that a template is missing.

We think this is due to the fact that we cannot activate the entry point via Fiori as explained in the Wiki you attached, Therefore, we are not able to generate the template that should be assigned to the report that will be tagged.
Firstly, there is no "model" file or folder in the taxonomy. Secondly, when activating, we get the error shown in picture 2. We maintained the Java parameters both in the Task Engine configuration file and in the XBR Service one, without success.

Could you please suggest how to proceed and help us understanding whether the report types we are using for the reports are correct? In particular, could you suggest the report types that have to be used for the data cache and the xbrl report which contains units/contexts/taxonomy? It looks like the plugins shown in the guide are different from what is available in the latest version (we are working with stack 15xx).

Also, if we check the available scenarios (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2138659) it seems that the Italian civil code filings should follow a "Mapping Method" rather than a "Template one", though if we follow the mapping method in the user guide we do not succeed anyway.

We tried also without validation, but it didn't work.

Thank you in advance for your help
