SAP DM Word Perfomance

Hi experts.

I´m using SAP DM ST14. In word chapter when creating a Table, floating field or formula field it takes too long (1min - 2 min) just to open the window for datalink:

Any ideas for increasing performance? Some configuration to check on server?

I´m still having issues with word performance. I have a word report that has one chapter with 7 pages. In this 7 pages I have 1 graphic , 201 floating fields (using ER Ranges), and 9 tables(using BIP ranges).

I datalink first all the 201 floating fields and the window for datalink opened in 10 sec. Then I datalink the 9 tables and the time for opening the window was 11 sec, but when creating 1 graphic the time for opening the window is 1min 10sec.

We´re using office 365 64bits and my job partners 32bits. But the same issue happens in 64 and 32 bits.

Any suggestions?

Using linked images resolved the issue of performance.

Hi Maria,

I checked on my Stack1400 version, I see no difference with previous versions (this area of DM also had no real changes recently)

As clicking on 'formula field' or 'insert table' makes no calls to the server (i.e. everything is local in the DM client code), could you set this setting in Word

File > Options > General

>> optimize for compatibility

Hi Marc.

I put that check and create a new chapter. The window for datalink open at 4sec, but in page 7 the time was about 10 sec. Is this normal?
