SAP DM - permissions / preview period

Hi,

I am using SAP DM ST1700.

I would like to know the possibilities / solution to the problem described.

User SAP DM - User01 has global permissions the only one defined entity e.g. ABC.

[In the application are defined is more entities like DEF, GHI etc. Each of them has its own defined periods and reports. ]

Currently, the periods view User01 shows all periods defined in the application. Of course, he has access only to those periods to which the ABC entity is assigned.

Is it possible for User01 in the SAP DM application to see only the periods assigned to the entity ABC to which he has access?

Hi Iwona,

No, not possible as far as I know - like you said, the security is checked at report level, not period

For most customers, this is not an issue, as the period names are very generic, e.g 2020.01 or 2021.Q1

Thank you for your reply. Is there any chance at all to add such a restriction to permissions at which version? Or is this not possible at all and was never in the plans?
