SAP Disclosure Management - ESEF iXBRL - Base and Extended Upload

Hi,

I am working with ESEF taxonomy downloaded from ESMA (https://www.esma.europa.eu/document/esma-esef-taxonomy-2019) and the Fujitsu Taxonomy Editor. SAP DM won't accept the entry point for the Extentded Taxonomy edited in Fujitsu.

The thing is that the taxonomy package you import to SAP DM must consist of the schema file (.xsd) + 4 xml files (cal, def, pre, lab), all in a zip file. However, what I get when editing the ESEF taxonomy in Fujitsu is:

-schema (xsd)

-pre, def, cal and for (xml) files. I don't get the Label Linkbase (lab). See screenshot.

My question is, out of the taxonomy zip downloaded from ESMA, which are the right steps to load the Base and Extended taxonomies into SAP DM? Which are the specific files to load?

Hi i6543, as you can see on your own screenshot, wider-narrower anchoring is defined in Definition Link (it just move to the right part, originally is in center part with Presentation Link, Calculation Link and so on).

Also, I'd like to point out that we stepped quite far away from the original question, and now discussing more in-depth questions on using Fujitsu Xwand, which is not the goal of this community or original question. Please accept on the answers already given and if you need more consulting support, please address your SAP account contact.

Hi i6543,
> Can you assist me with the correct path to load the Base taxonomy into Fujitsu?
You can choose esef_all.xsd as starting point.
> Also, do I need to start the Presentation, Calculation link from scratch in order to complete the extension, doesn't it fill out automatically?

Yes, you need to create your own taxonomy extension based your reporting lines: choose the lines you will need (can also be browsed in Yeti after a free signup), their dependencies to define calculation and labels to define their naming. Also there's a high chance you will need to add your own links for the lines that don't exist in the ESEF base dictionary.

For more information please look at ESEF tutorial webinars and ESEF field cases available, and Fujitsu Xwand user guides (available in the installation folder).

> Finally, how can I generate the four correct xml files (def, cal, pre, lab)?
Once you have something filled in definition, presentation, calculation and label links in Fujitsu Xwand - they will appear as separate xml files during saving of taxonomy. Based on your screenshots it looks like link label doesn't have a single line created, so it's not available for saving.

Hi Olga,

When I load the esef_all.xsd as starting point in Fujitsu, I can edit the Presentation Link, the Calculation and so on. However, there is an important thing missing, which is the Anchoring Definition Link to perform the anchoring of extension to ESEF taxonomy, through the wider-narrower arcrole (see screenshot of how it should look like). How can I perform this anchoring in the Base Taxonomy loaded?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Ibon,

You can check the process in this WIKI, see section "taxonomies"

Hello i6543,

You certainly can create label linkbase for DM from Fujitsu XWand.

Please see the Wiki guide by marc.kuipers posted earlier: Disclosure Management – iXBRL for ESEF. There it's explained that the structure of original ESEF linkbase structure is incomplete for DM, so you should see note 2827882.

If you'd like to augment original linkbase structure by yourself, please see other Wiki guide by Marc: Disclosure Management – augmenting a taxonomy

Hi Olga, Marc,

Can you assist me with the correct path to load the Base taxonomy into Fujitsu? There are different schema (xsd) files in the Base Taxonomy 2019 (see screenshots). Also, do I need to start the Presentation, Calculation link from scratch in order to complete the extension, doesn't it fill out automatically? Finally, how can I generate the four correct xml files (def, cal, pre, lab)? I lack the LAB xml file when trying to save the taxonomy. SAP DM won't accept that entry point.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Marc,

Thank you. Yes, I am aware of those steps and I have replicated them in DM, but there is an important step missing, from my point of view. The thing is that for ESEF, I have loaded the correct Base 2019 zip file but I am unaware of which is or where can I get the specific schema file (xsd) that should be loaded to Fujitsu to extend the ESEF taxonomy, get a modified schema file and then, import that (along with four xml files) into the 'Extended' chapter of the 'Taxonomy' report, in order to start with the tagging within SAP DM. Should I load the base taxonomy to Fujitsu, do I need a different .zip in order to perform the extension? That's where I'm stuck.

Thank you very much in advance.

i6543 , to create your extended taxonomy you can use the Base schema you already loaded to the DM (the one from the note).

Open it in Fujitsu, create your extensions there (choose the base accounts you need and add new private accounts if needed, fill in Presentation Link, Label Link, Calculation Link and so on), and save it as your extended taxonomy with a new prefix - your company's stock ticker. That new taxonomy is the one to load into your "extended" taxonomy chapter.

Hi Olga,

Thank you for your answer. Okay, I know have the Base 2019 .zip file loaded in DM. My next question is, which is the .xsd file I need to load into Fujitsu to extend the taxonomy, export it and then load it in SAP DM: Schema file (xsd) + 4 xml files? Where I can find it?

the zip file should contain:

- Schema file (.xsd)

- Label Linkbase (-date_lab.xml)

- Calculation Linkbase (-date _cal.xml)

- Definition Linkbase (-date_def.xml)

- Presentation Linkbase (-date_pre.xml)
