I have different questions regarding this year’s reporting for ESEF with SAP Disclosure Management.
1. 2020 Base taxonomy
As I understood last year, there is a script that updates our extended taxonomy files in Fujitsu with 2020’s ones (our client reported the last year with 2019 base taxonomy), in order to comply with the requirement by the ESMA to use the 2020 ESEF taxonomy files to report financial years starting the 1st of January 2021 or afterwards. My question is: is this process correct? Where can I find the steps to perform the upgrade to 2020? Moreover, the 2020 zip file that we loaded to SAP DM last year is valid for this year yet?
2. 2021 Base taxonomy
ESMA recently published the 2021 Taxonomy files. This taxonomy is optional for issuers this year. Does SAP plan to have the files adapted soon?
3. SAP DM upgrade to 1900
We are working with SAP DM Stack 1701. I have seen that recent updates 18XX and 19XX include several iXBRL-related enhancements (we are particularly worried about report formats). Given the current dates and that the deadline is in late February, do you recommend upgrading their systems to the latest version? 1701 would comply with the reporting requirements of the ESMA?
I ask these questions because this is not an incident itself, but theoretical questions about this year's process.
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Ibon

Hello i.clavero
1) See: 3045182 - DM - Upgrading extended taxonomy (ESEF)
2) See: 2827882 - DM - How to get ESEF taxonomy files
3) We always recommend to be on the latest version. Specially for ESEF reporting, you will probably face some bugs in 1701 which have been subsequently fixedSee release notes for 1800 and 1900Marc
