How can I setup customer-Specific pricing in CPQ for simple products, replicated from S/4 HANA. CPQ is still on Quote 1.0 and has no pricing procedure configuration options, etc.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi kwanda
Below are the options and you can choose anyone.
If customer using S4 HANA or ERP at backend, the standard way to use Variant Configuration & Pricing and maintain condition Types for customer specfic pricing. If customer not using S4 HANA or ERP, then customer can build extension (CAP Application) to maintain customer specific pricing and CPQ developers will consume the Odata API through scripting to populate pricing in quote line itemsIf customer doesn like option 1 and 2 above.. customer can maintain within CPQ as custom table and scripting to be adjusted to populate in line items... but this could lead performance issue and prices are visible for all CPQ developers. You must be a registered user to add a comment. Hi yoganandamuthaiah
Thanks for your response. Variant Configuration & Pricing is not acquired at this point and works better with Quote 2.0. The replication flow is from S/4 HANA > CPI > CPQ. I also thought of a custom table and I agree with you that this approach will lead to performance issues. So, this customer-specific pricing is maintained at customer, material, distribution channel level in S4, with validity periods. I believe there will be performance issues if a check is done on a custom table for every quote created to determine eligible pricing for a customer on a specific material and validity, etc.
