We currently have 2 Dispatchers/ 1Updater/ 1 Guider/ 2 Raters/ 2 Bulkloaders all instances co-located in the same host. I have read from documentation that this is not advisable these instances should be on different hosts. What are the dangers of having all of them on the same host? Please advise. Thank you!

Dear Francis,
there is no danger to have all of your instances on the same host. But, if your host crashes, you will not have the SAP CC service anymore.
So, if you want a fail-over mechanism, SAP recommends to have at least 2 hosts with 1 Dispatcher / 1 Updater / 1 Guider / 1 Rater / 1 Bulkloader on each host.
If you don't need the fail-over feature, having one host is enough.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for the information. Will having 2 instances on the same host at least improve performance on rating/bulkloading compared to having only 1?

Francis
