Hi Experts, as part of our current implementation, we are facing huge performance challenge. We are using CC 5.0 with HANA database. All the events for a specific day is collected and then pushed to CC. There are 40% customer where the event volume for a single day is between 1.5 million- 2 million. At present 2 million records takes more than 4 hours for rating (Consumption items from CI-> CC -> Rated data in CI as billable items). CC rates 100 CITs in 1-3 seconds. We are trying to increase the resources (CPU) but not sure if this will resolve the situation. Has anyone encountered such situation? Can we increase the number of event processed by rater from 100 to 1000? sometimes I feel SAP CC is not as flexible as S/4 HANA. We are not facing any performance issue with CM and SAP CI S4 HANA during CDR acquisition and Billing and invoicing. Looking forward for support from expert community.

Hi Ciaran,
Thanks for the response. We are aware of alternative subscriber account, but this solution is only available from 1909 version, our client has 1809. The client is now aware of this gap and they will be in touch with SAP. The second part of the problem is huge volume on single access (contract). All events for a day are collected and pushed for rating once daily- means all the data for a single subscriber and access are on single thread to the dispatcher and the rater. In this situation the internal load balancing mechanism of CC will not help much in performance . There is no out of the box solution available to split a high volume contract in to multiple access like alternative subscriber account. please suggest if there is a solution for the second part of the problem statement. Our worry is client might decide to remain be on the existing solution and not switch to BRIM because of performance issue.

Hi Archana,
Do you have a high number of contracts per account? If so, alternative subscriber accounts may help: https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=42F2E964FAAF1EDA94D8F46EB193E0E3⦥=2019Q1-2020Q4#;INNO=901B0ED...
