SAP ByD: Is it possible to do budget reporting without scoping Active Budget Control?

Hello,

Our objective is to generate financial reports from ByDesign that shows a comparison of actual amounts to budgeted amounts for specific expense/revenue headings.

We do not want to implement active budget control which does the budget check for each transaction. Instead we only need the actual to budget comparisons for reporting purposes only.

All SAP ByD Help documentation that I came across refer to Active Budget Control and Budget Checks. 

Are the following possible in ByD?
1) Upload financial budget data only without active budget control
2) Generate financial reports from ByD with actual data to budget data comparison

Hi Rami.

We upload our budgets through the work center 'Cost and Revenue' and then select the planning option. You can export a blank excel template and upload your budgets with a year and a name, and if you wish, multiple different versions.  

There a number of financial reports that then enable you to run an Actual vs Budget report and you can tell it what budget version you wish to use.

I dont know if we have active budget turned on, I dont even know what that is, but from your description, i cant imagine we do.

Thank you David for the explanation. I understand that it is possible to upload budget amounts from Cost and Revenue. However, our budgeted amounts are by groups of G/L accounts rather than at G/L level.

So I was looking to upload at Budget Category level which seems is not possible without Active Budget Control.
