SAP BW role to read data from BW standard cube and load into BPC cube thru DM package

Dear All,

I am a SAP BPC 10.0 consultant and have the following situation:

I have data at BW STANDARD cube and I am trying to load data from this into BPC cube, thru BPC's data manager package. When I do that, I am getting authorization error. I am not sure what BW roles I miss in this regard.

Pls. let me know what BW roles one should have so that, the user can read data from that BW standard cube.

For this purpose you need to have access to BW Cubes, with atleast read authorization, The basis team will be aware. If they want to restrict the same, basis team can give you access of just one cube as required.

Below is the screenshot where user is having auth for all the BW cubes hence the value *

Hello,

Those two roles are not enough for executing BPC functions those will just allow your user ID to open BPC web client.  You need to have a task and a member access profile assigned to your user ID.  These are done through BPC administration web client when your user ID is added to a BPC team which has the necessary profiles.

Hi Peri,

You need standard BW roles to access specific BW cube, speak to your BW guys and authorization guys.
