SAP BTP and Subscription Billing integration with On-Premise CAL BRIM (2021) platform

Hi,

We have difficulties integrating and replicating master data from our On-Premise BRIM platform (in AWS) to SAP BTP and Subscription Billing platform (with Cloud Foundry).

We have two Global Accounts with different Subscriptions inside their Subaccounts and the one we want to integrate is the one with the Subscription Billing subscription created (Screenshot 1).

We have already tried creating Customers, Products, Prices, and a billing document in Subscription Billing which is working as expected.

When trying to integrate Subscription Billing with our On-Premise CAL BRIM platform in AWS we cannot see the ABAP SYSTEM in Cloud Integration Automation Service.

We have configured Cloud Connector based on this guide: https://help.sap.com/docs/CP_CONNECTIVITY/cca91383641e40ffbe03bdc78f00f681/ec68ee242c3d4c7797fc53bb6...

Access Control in Cloud Connector shows that the destination is reachable:

The platform is shown as reachable and connected via HTTP and HTTPS port:

And the Destinations for both HTTP and HTTPS show they are connected successfully:

When trying to create a workflow in the Cloud Integration Automation Service of SAP ABAP Server connection with SAP BTP the SID for our CAL platform is not shown.

Is there anything we are missing?

Regards,

Hi Dren,

CIAS only lists the systems that are already registered with SAP under your customer number.

For CAL systems, this is often not done by customers since they are only meant as temporary sandboxes - could that be the case for you as well ?

Apart from that, you should be able to start the workflow without choosing a system and to enter the system manually in the subsequent steps of the workflow.

Also, it might be an option to add the tag "SAP Integration Suite" to your question since lots of integration topics are also discussed there.

Hope this helps and best regards,

Joerg

Hi Joerg,

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, I believe that is why we don't see our CAL system since this is a demo system we are trying to integrate. We also figured that we were using the wrong platform for integration. We have enabled Integration Suite in our Subaccount and we were able to deploy some workflows based on the guide: https://help.sap.com/docs/CLOUD_TO_CASH_OD/a78a4be305be4dbc903bd826a1aba456/0e8172cfbe2a40cfa0e24d9e...

The issue we are currently facing is when trying to add a Web Service configuration in SOAMANAGER. Based on the guide: https://help.sap.com/docs/CLOUD_TO_CASH_OD/a78a4be305be4dbc903bd826a1aba456/1857a9b3954d4bb3addac2ba..., authentication should be based on Username/Password used to access SAP Cloud Integration. Still, when pinging the endpoint from Web Service Configuration we get a 401 error Unauthorized message. Same happens when trying with SOAPUI. Is there any option to configure the Username/Password for Cloud Integration or for the WebService?

Regards,
