SAP BPC MS - E-mail notification

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a Business Process Flow to send e-mails. I have tried to configure the SMTP settings in the web administration client, but I'm not sure if I have done it correctly. When I am trying to complete a step in BPF I get the following message: "The server rejected the sender address. The server response was: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first.".

Does anybody has an idea of how to fix this problem? I don't know if the problem is in my outlook e-mail or in BPC. 

I'm not sure if I have entered the correct SMTPSERVER, what should be entered in that field, if you are using outlook?

Hi Anders,

Make sure that you have completed following activites

E-mail set-up:

1. Execute t-code SE80 in BW system.

2. Choose package in the left navigation pane, then enter the package name UJB_MAINTAIN_EMAIL_TMPL

3. Click F8. It opens BPC:BPF Email template table overview.

4. To see the detail of each template, double click a template.

5. Set e-mail body of template either smart form body or email body.

6. To activate/de-activate the email notification, click on the icon (pencil/display) to edit. The email template list appears in edit mode.

7. Change the value in column is Active to yer or no to activate/de-activate.

Also configure check the scot

Shrikant,

You are always so quick to respond.  However, it looks like Anders is working with the MS version of BPC.  I think your feedback is specific to the BW version of BPC.  Is that right?

You are right,   It is for NW version.
