SAP BPC Lite Optimization

Hello,

We are on SAP BPC 10.1 NW Standard.

This environment is live from last 4 years and this is the first time we will be running Lite Optimization. In Lite Optimization Process Chain there is an option "Collapse only those requests that were loaded xxxx days ago" (see screen shot). Is there a way to give this option as a prompt from Data Manager Package.

Also, can someone please share the best practices link\KBA or documentation for Lite Optimization.

Sorry, but what's the idea behind having variable days???

Better to think about zero elimination.

No risk in general, just time to perform it! It's not possible to predict time, but to be on the safe side use weekend. After it - do it regularly (daily).

Well...business is bit worried as they are running Lite Optimization for first time in last 4 years...And to be on a safer side they want to run this in chunks. I agree with you; we will include zero elimination.

Is there any risk while running Lite Optimization? As per my understanding we should be good as long as we have a backup available and we can schedule it to run monthly/weekly as per our requirement and this way we don't have to specifically mention variable days.
