SAP BPC - Hierarchy structure is not visible in EPM Add in member selector but in web

Hi all

We have a strange issue with SAP BPC EPM add-in.

There has been a recent change in the company code dimension, just moving the members here and there within the hierarchy and the dimension is processed once this is done.

Once after this change, we were unable to login into the models which use company code dimension. The EPM add-in gave us an error saying "wrong csv format". So we ran some programs to delete cache and dirty data and the issue is resolved.

Then we noticed that the hierarchy for the dimension has been changed to a flat structure and its very difficult to run reports and change work status. There is no error as such, its just the structure is different and so there is no helpful EPM logs.

We have raised it with SAP and they are looking into it. We have upgraded our EPM to the latest version SP 32 Patch 01, but this didn't help either.

Another point is that all other dimensions work as expected with hierarchy. There is no error in UJA_DATA_CHECKER.

We don't not have a backup to restore, so this option wouldn't work for us. Even if we revert the change we made, the same issue persists.

Please share anything you think might be little useful as our month end process is just couple of days away and is very critical to get this sorted soon.

Thanks for replying. Sorry for the files.

In web, everything else is fine. the members have the respective hierarchy filled in. This happens only with EPM add-in of excel which is mainly used by users in our project

In Production:

In quality without issues (with hierarchy)

This is not time dependent hierarchy.

First - screenshots have to be inserted using "Insert Image", not using "Insert File" - hard to read.

Second - why are you talking about EPM client? What do you have in WEB administration of the dimension? No hierarchy?

P.S. Do you have TDH enabled?
