Hi Folks,
are there any restrictions for SAP BPC for S/4HANA usage? E.g. it is not allowed to create own models etc. but only to use the pre-built ones?
Basically is the SAP BPC for S/4HANA compareable from a functionality point of view to BPC (embedded) standalone? (I know the main difference is that
BPC for S/4HANA uses ERP data in real time .... but are they otherwise the same).
Thanks and best regards
Axel

Hello,
BPC consolidation engine is the same in BPC standard, embedded and embedded with RTC (optimized for S4HANA). The only difference between the various modes of BPC is how master and transactional data are retrieved.
From business perspective BPC consolidation remains the same and the configuration of master data and rules go through the same validation.
If you do not use BPC with RTC (optimized for S4HANA) then you are responsible for all the content mapping between your BI-content and /ERP/ to BPC master data.
Using RTC the initial complexities of mapping are somewhat addressed, as long as you have a standard configuration in your finance side which feeds ACDOCA table.
I hope this helps.
