SAP BPC Entity Change consolidation group (scope)

Hello,

First of all, thank you for your attention.

I get in touch with you because a problem arises during a consolidation process, for a case in which a company changes group (SCOPE) during the year (pictures of the groups are attached before and after the change).

The case presented to us is a group of companies that in the course of the year belong to one group (S_IC01 in the images) to another (S_IC19) from one month to another, from July to August 2017.

The particular situation is presented in the Income Statement (P & L) since, a

lthough these companies in the month of August become part of the group S_IC19, the Income Statement to date belongs to the group S_IC01 (from January to July), what it must consolidate in both groups according to the months to which the balance belongs.

The real situation is that a consolidation group (S_IC01) is divided into two:

  • S_IC01, which maintains the companies of the country
  • S_IC19, which takes foreign companies (a group S_IP01 also belongs to this group) The consequence is that the result of these foreign companies belongs to the IC01 matrix (of the Scope S_IC01) for the period 2017.01 - 2017.08 and to the IC19 matrix (of the Scope S_IC19) for the periods 2017.09 - 2017.12.

I hope you can help me with this situation.

Thank you very much in advance

"pictures of the groups are attached before and after the change" - no pictures!

P.S. Please provide your BPC version - one tag is incorrect!

Then please remove the secondary tag:

SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, version for the Microsoft platform

your question is not related to this tag!
