SAP BPC 7.5 MS SP07 version with windows authentication

Hi All,

I know SAP BPC 7.5 MS version is out of support but our client is using it and we need to support them.

Before we had BPC with BO authentication but now

We have installed BPC 7.5 with Windows authentication successfully.

I am able to connect locally to the Client URL but facing issues when we connect them remotely.

The error message is "Server error in /OSoft application"

Run Time error

Can you please help me on this urgently.

Hello Swetha,

Could you please check if KBA 1507209 could help?

If not, please try the following steps:

1. Grant the CREATOR OWNER & BPCADMIN full control of webfolders directory

2. Propagate security

3. Assign ownership of the folder to the BPCAdmin account

4. Restart IIS

Hi Swetha,

this is a generic error you should share a high definition image of the page.

Probably it's a problem of security, the user is not defined on bpc 7.5 or you need some security roghts, try to enter with system admin user defined during BPC installation, this should be possible, and after check your user rights.

Hi Roberto,

Your Right. We have installed with user id:-svc-xgb-bpc-dev" and locally it is connecting through this id and am able to connect to that.

Remotely am providing my NTID to login and its not allowing me to login.

Where can I change this settings in IIS(Internet Information services) Manager?

Hi Swetha,

if you are able to connect to admin console with system admin user (one of the 3 users asked during BPC installation) then you don't need to work outside BPC except the domains you need to reach from BPC server.

If you have entered the domains you need enter in admin console and simply add users, teams, etc. for security rights.

I am facing errors when I try to connect BPC home page locally and outside the server.

Hi Swetha,

hoping you have installed bpc with last sp. It seems you have only .NET 2 installed please verify it and eventually install also .NET 3.5 sp1 on client and server, not sure but probably you need also .NET 1.1 sp1 because if I remember well this .NET version is not included in the next versions, verify it on microsoft site.

Were you able to resolve this issue?

There are about half a dozen SAP notes about this error - have you had a chance to review these notes?
