SAP BPC 11.1 (standard) - setting the system off-line during transports

Dear all,

do you know is also with BPC 11.1 (standard version) on BW/4HANA is still needed to set-up the Environment of the target system off-line, to make any transports? Maybe SAP found a way to avoid this unpleasant side effect?

I know that there are parameters that can automatically set the Environment off line only during the transport itself, but the problem is that we cannot decide to transport during working hours to production system, because users could have problems.
