SAP BO - Formatted Search Query

Hi all, 

I'm learning to use SAP BO, but I can't understand a thing about formatted search queries, 

e.g.

select OCRD.BALANCE 

WHERE OCRD.CARD.CODE = $[$ITEM.COLUMN.TYPE]

COLUMN = 0 if header otherwise SAP show the column number

I have problem to understand the TYPE field, it could be

0 = alphanumeric

1 = number

2 = currency

4 = data

is it right? someone could help me on this, please?
