Sales order material description not updating in SAP GTS

Hi Team,

I created Sales order then saved it updated in GTS . Then I changed the material description in Sales order line item then push the data manually. But that change description not updating in GTS document.

Is it standard ? if not then where I need to check.

In this case then I need to change material description in material master record then re-transferred into GTS ?

yes, that's correct, sahu. GTS doesn't consider the 'One Time' material description. The description is always retrieved from table /SAPSLL/PRT in GTS.

Hi Ramesh,

Yes, it is standard. Material description is not a field compliance check/customs management shall care, during document change.

If you want see the updated version of material description, the material master data need to be re-transferred to GTS to reflect the change.
