SAC – Integrated Financial Planning – DRIVER6 & allocation weights

Hello SAP-Community,

In the sample End-to-End Planning Process in Integrated Financial Planning for SAP S/4HANA we find the process step “Plan and Allocate Cost Center Expenses”

Aleque_1-1745249466928.png

Here we can maintain cost center allocation weights. However, when working with my imported data, I get no results.

Upon inspection of the data, this seems to be because the transactional data (facts) in the model SAP_FI_IFP_IM_OPEX never have any value for the measure DRIVER6 nor for any similar measures (e.g. DRIVER1, DRIVER2 etc...)

My questions to you are the following:

1. Are these drivers defined in the source system (S4HANA Public Cloud) or somewhere in SAC? If in SAC, where can we define them?

2. Why are these values all null right now?

3. If an import is successfully performed, should all the drivers have defined values or can there be (null) values?

Dear @Aleque,

the End-to-End Planning Process is a sample story to explain how the different parts of the content integrate to each other and a sample planning process could look like. Therefore we deliver the business content with sample data to enable users to test the content without the need to connect to their own data.

If you conected your SAC tenant with your S/4HANA backend and imported your own data you also might want to import the drivers. To do this, please follow the instructions in the SAP Help portal, Importing Statistical Key Figures to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAP S/4HANA Cloud / SAP S/4HANA)
As an alternative you can manually plan the drivers using the SAP_FI_IFP_IM_OPEX_PlanAdmin (SAP S/4HANA Cloud / SAP S/4HANA) story.

Regarding your questions:

  1. You can either load the drivers from your S/4Hana backend or manually plan them in SAC.
  2. If you deleted the sample data in the OPEX model and imported your own fact data, you might have missed to upload the drivers, in this case they are null.
  3. There can be null values for drivers, even if the import of data was successful. This is depending on what data you're uploading.

I would recommend you our documentation Financial Planning in SAP Analytics Cloud - Getting Started with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAP S/4HANA Cloud / SAP S/4HANA)

Please let me know if this answers your questions.

Best regards
Susanne

Hi, @Susanne_Helbig !

Thanks for the quick and detailed answer. Unfortunately, when following the provided documentation, my search does not show the folder Statistical Key Figures – FINSSKF nor does it show C_FinStatisticalKeyFigure. The closest to this is A_StatisticalKeyFigure, but this does not seem to be correct based on the related data.

Unlike the other import jobs, this import job was not pre-delievered when I imported the business content.

Note, please, that I have also found other queries in the documentation which were not pre-delieverd with the business content and I also could not build in the system.

Do you know what could be causing this? Thanks and best regards.

Hi @Aleque,

I assume you're working with an OnPremise backend, correct? What is your release version?
This information would be very helpfull to guide you further.

Please check if the C_SKF_SRV OData Service is active.

Please understand that the Integrated Financial Planning business content is sample content and it's not delivered with all possible import jobs. Nevertheless you can use the information in the SAP Help portal to setup your own import jobs.

Best regards
Susanne

Hi again, @Susanne_Helbig .

We are running the public cloud version in the backend. The documentation you sent is for the private edition. However, I took a look at the equivalent of that documentation for the public cloud version. As you can see, the procedure is quite different. Furthermore, I believe we have successfully implemented the required steps in this documentation. This is because, without a functioning communication scenario, system, agreement etc. we would not be able to import any data or perform any queries. In our system, we are able to import data from the public cloud edition system we are running, so I believe these steps have been performed correctly.

For the public cloud edition, the documentation states that the folder Statistical Key Figures – FINSSKF should be visible, but it is not. Note, please, that many other folders are visible and queries can be built from them and imports can be executed.

Is it possible that there is a different underlying issue?

Thank you again for your help and best regards!

Hi @Aleque,

if you setup the communication scenario, arrangement, and system correctly then you should be able to see C_FinStatisticalKeyFigure.
Please create an SAP case on component CO-FIO-SAC-PL-2CL so that we can have a look into your system for further investigation.

Best regards
Susanne

Sorry, it's been a busy week at work. Yes, you were right. There was an issue with the communication scenario/system/agreement setup. It was just a single missing field which resulted in this issue. The steps listed here must simply be followed througouhly: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/1cbcff7ccd35405ab445b223c1ab1588/2f610a5f08cb4142ac188c3e...

Additional note, the behaviour of SAC when searching for FINSSKF is a bit unreliable. Sometimes, the system shows the folder Statistical Key Figures immediately upon search. Other times, it only shows up after the second or third search. This is strange behaviour that could confuse some. (I used Microsoft Edge to access SAC)
